A LECTURER AT BASRA UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATES IN A SYMPOSIUM ON (STRENGTHENING COOPERATION ABOUT CLIMATE SECURITY AND ENVIRONMET):
The lecturer at the College of Administration and Economics at Basra University Prof. Dr. Nadwa Hilal Judeh participated in a symposium on (Strengthening Cooperation about Climate Security and the Environment) which was organized with the support of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Dutch Kilkendal Institute for International Relations the Planetary Security Initiative project on June 7, 2021 in Al-Sayyab Hall At Minawi Pasha Hotel.
The participation included a research entitled (Desertification in Iraq and Internal Displacement).
The participating research aims to clarify what desertification is in Iraq what are the economic, social and environmental causes and effects, and what are the dangers that befall Iraq as a result of desertification compared to some countries such as Turkey, Lebanon and Syria In addition the researcher touched on the state of desertification in Basra Governorate and some negative effects, especially the high phenomenon of salinization.
