BASRA UNIVERSITY HOLDS A SCIENTIFIC TRIP TO THE CENTRAL BUREAU OF STATISTICS, BASRA BRANCH:
The Economics Department conducted a scientific trip for students of the third stage, the Transportation Branch, accompanied by some of the department's professors, represented by lecturers Hussein Ali Ahmed, teacher Muhammad Hassan Odeh and Ali Talib Shihab, to the Central Bureau of Statistics, Basra Branch.
The trip aims to clarify the work carried out by the Ministry of Planning in Basra Governorate, in terms of collecting data and information, and how to classify them and use them to make decisions and forecast the future.
The trip included a meeting with the Director of the Statistics Division, Professor Shahdi Abdul Amir Majed, and an introductory briefing on the work of the Central Bureau of Statistics, and the focus was on introducing students to the most important departments in the Statistics Division and on how to collect data and classify it by specialized teams in each department.
At the end of the scientific trip, a group photo was taken in front of the Central Bureau of Statistics building, Basra branch.
