ASSISTANT DEAN FOR SCIENTIFIC AFFAIRS HOLDS MEETING WITH THE EDUCATIONAL GUIDANCE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING UNIT
Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Youssef Dajr, held a meeting with the Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit and the educational guidance officers from all academic departments. The meeting was attended by the Unit Head, Assistant Professor Ban Tawfiq Najm, and unit members, to discuss the guidance action plan for the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.
the meeting addressed several key topics, primarily monitoring student adherence to the university dress code and prevailing university regulations and instructions. It also focused on activating guidance committees within academic departments and clarifying the duties of guidance officers, emphasizing their role in communicating directly with students and providing academic, educational, and psychological support and guidance.
Mechanisms for monitoring special student cases—particularly those involving students with special needs—were also discussed, alongside identifying students in financial need and providing them with possible support in coordination with relevant authorities.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed preparations for implementing various guidance and awareness-raising activities—such as training workshops, seminars, lectures, and competitions—aimed at enhancing student awareness and supporting their psychological, social, and academic stability. 
The Assistant Dean emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and ongoing communication between the Guidance Unit and guidance officers in the academic departments, as well as intensifying field follow-up with students to identify and address their issues, while ensuring the documentation of all guidance activities and events.
