A Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines the Impact of Logistical Development at the Grand Faw Port on Performance

A master's thesis at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah, examined the impact of logistical development at the Grand Faw Port on the operational performance of Iraqi ports in Basra Governorate: functional integration as a mediating variable, an exploratory study at the General Company for Iraqi Ports.
The thesis, submitted by student Ali Nadhim Khayoun, aimed to demonstrate the expected impact of logistical development at the Grand Faw Port on the operational performance of Iraqi ports and to test the mediating role of functional integration in its three dimensions.
The thesis employed a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing a questionnaire to survey a sample of employees at the company headquarters and its affiliated ports under study, and analyzing the data using statistical software.
The thesis recommended the necessity of developing port infrastructure, adopting unified digital systems, and establishing a joint center for managing operational processes.
