UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES GUIDANCE WORKSHOP ON PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND COMMUNITY GUIDANCE
The College of Administration and Economics, through its Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized a guidance workshop entitled “Psychological Support for People with Disabilities and Community Guidance.”
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the rights of people with disabilities and to provide guidance strategies for the community.
The workshop, presented by lecturers  Kamil Abdul Farhan and Ammar Asif Alwan, included a presentation on mechanisms for promoting mental health and ways to integrate people with disabilities socially.
The workshop recommended the necessity of creating an inclusive university environment, intensifying training programs for those who work with these groups, and activating the guidance role to achieve optimal psychological and social adjustment.
