UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES AWARENESS SEMINAR ON ORAL AND DENTAL HEALTH
The College of Administration and Economics, through its Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the Basrah Health Department, organized an awareness seminar entitled "A Healthy Mouth: A Mirror of Public Health: Preventive Tips and Guidelines."
The seminar aimed to promote oral and dental hygiene, emphasize the importance of regular checkups, and strengthen partnerships with health institutions, given their impact on boosting students' self-confidence.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Sama Sarar Farouk (Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry Practitioner), Dr. Murtadha Jassim Mohammed Ali (Dentist/Supervisor), and Dr. Nadia Muayad Abdul Ali (Dentist/Supervisor), included a brief overview of the most prominent oral and dental diseases, methods of prevention and daily care, as well as addressing emergency cases and mechanisms for managing patients with chronic diseases.
The seminar recommended the importance of maintaining oral hygiene, reducing sugar consumption, and continuing to hold awareness seminars to promote health awareness.
