University of Basra Organizes Teacher's Day Celebration

The Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basra, organized a celebration to honor teachers on the occasion of Teacher's Day, with the active participation of the college's students.

The ceremony included a speech by a student on behalf of his classmates, expressing his deep gratitude and appreciation to the Dean of the College and the faculty members, acknowledging their educational and academic role in shaping the students' character and guiding them towards a promising academic future. The celebration also featured a poem that embodied the high status of teachers, which was met with great enthusiasm from the audience. Additionally, a student from the Statistics Department presented an artistic initiative: a portrait of the Dean, which was admired by those present.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Dean delivered a speech in which he commended the efforts of the Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit, praising the role of instructor Ban Tawfiq Najm in supporting students and developing their talents. He emphasized that professors in the College of Administration and Economics represent a fundamental pillar in establishing sound economic and administrative thought, and he lauded the spirit of positive cooperation between students and their professors despite the challenges.
