University of Basrah Organizes Religious Gathering for Quran Recitation

The College of Administration and Economics, through its Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the Accounting Department, organized a religious gathering for the completion of the recitation of the Holy Quran.

The gathering commenced with a beautiful recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the Dean of the College. In his address, the Dean emphasized the importance of adhering to the Quranic approach in developing a conscious and academically conscious personality. He commended the role of the Guidance Unit and the Accounting Department in organizing such initiatives, which strengthen human and spiritual bonds among students and faculty.

The gathering aimed to instill the tolerant values ​​of Islam and the ethics of the Holy Quran in the hearts of students and staff, and to utilize the spiritual atmosphere of the blessed month of Ramadan to alleviate work and study pressures, thus positively impacting the mental well-being of the university community. The event, which was organized with the help of Dr. Ali Taha Yassin, Dr. Abbas Abdul Aziz Sayhood, lecturer Ban Tawfiq Najm, lecturer Faiha Abdul Khaliq Mahmoud, and lecturer Muslim Badr Jassim, included a group reading of parts of the Holy Quran, culminating in the completion of a full recitation of the Holy Quran, in which the attendees, including instructors and students, participated with a spirit of reverence and contemplation.
