University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Accounting: Between Digital and Traditional Perspectives

The College of Administration and Economics, Department of Accounting at the University of Basrah, organized a seminar entitled: "Accounting Between Digital and Traditional Perspectives: Challenges and Opportunities."

The seminar aimed to highlight the most important digitization tools in the accounting field, explain the advantages and challenges of adopting digital systems, and clarify the common challenges between traditional and digital accounting, particularly organizational, human, and technical ones.

The seminar, presented by lecturer Murtadha Kadhim, included a detailed explanation of the most prominent challenges facing institutions in adopting digital accounting systems, including infrastructure, costs, and staff training, as well as reviewing the opportunities available to companies and accountants.

The seminar also addressed keeping pace with technological developments in curricula, integrating accounting information systems into institutional modernization plans, and establishing specialized training courses for accountants in the public and private sectors.
