UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES HUMAN RIGHTS FESTIVAL
The College of Administration and Economics/Human Rights Unit, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized a festival for International Human Rights Day under the slogan "Promoting Rights and Dignity."
The festival aimed to solidify the values of justice and human dignity, raise awareness of human rights culture within the university community, and emphasize the important role of the Human Rights Unit in supporting these principles.
The festival included a recitation from the Holy Quran, the playing of the national anthem, a moment of silence in remembrance of the martyrs, a speech by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ammar Yousef Dhajr, and a speech by the head of the Human Rights Unit. A seminar entitled "Towards an Equal and Coexisting World" was also held, along with the screening of an awareness video and student activities entitled "Our Voice is Our Duty," in which students from the Department of Management Information Systems participated.
