UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES A SEMINAR ON HOW UNIVERSITY STUDENT CAN BUILD HIS FUTURE

The College of Administration and Economics, through its Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the Media Department and the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized a guidance seminar entitled “Between Social Media and Consumer Culture: How University Student Can Build his Future.”
The seminar aimed to enhance students’ critical thinking, cultivate a consumer culture based on financial planning, empower them to utilize social media in building their academic and professional futures, and encourage them to create meaningful content.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Bouhiyeh, a psychiatrist at Basra Teaching Hospital, included a presentation on the impact of social media on mental health, consumer culture, the role of self-awareness, and how to create impactful content.
The seminar recommended raising students’ awareness of the dangers of excessive consumption and utilizing social media to enhance their skills and abilities.
