University of Basra Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Value Stream Mapping in Process Improvement

The College of Administration and Economics/Department of Management Information Systems at the University of Basra organized a scientific seminar entitled “Value Stream Mapping in Process Improvement.”

The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of using value stream mapping as an effective tool for analyzing production processes and identifying development opportunities.

Dr. Areej Karim Rahman presented at the seminar, explaining that value stream mapping helps uncover sources of waste and inefficiencies within the workflow, whether resulting from waiting times, excess inventory, or unnecessary steps.

The seminar recommended adopting value stream mapping to increase process efficiency, reduce production time, and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
