UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES AN AWARENESS SEMINAR ON DRUGS: BETWEEN LAW AND PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING

The College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with career Development center at the University of Basrah, organized a seminar entitled "Drugs: Between Law and Psychological Counseling."
The seminar aimed to promote a culture of psychological counseling among young people, address behavioral problems, build effective cooperation with security agencies, and empower students to distinguish between accurate and misleading information.
The seminar, presented by Colonel Diaa Nouri Salman of the Criminal Evidence Department, covered the legal aspects of penalties, the role of psychological counseling, and treatment methods, along with real-life case studies.
The seminar recommended including lectures on mental health, developing addiction treatment centers, supporting counseling units, and raising awareness among families about monitoring their children.
