UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES AWARENESS SEMINAR ON COMBATING DRUG ABUSE
The College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at the University of Basrah, organized an awareness seminar entitled "Combating Drug Abuse and Protecting Students (Causes, Prevention, and Treatment)."
The seminar aimed to raise student awareness of the dangers of drugs and promote preventative measures and psychological support for a safe learning environment.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Ban Yassin Makki, assist. Lect. Israa Khairi, and assist. Lect. Asia Ali Hadi, addressed the psychological and social factors contributing to drug abuse, the types of drugs and their effects, and preventative measures for university students.
The seminar recommended launching preventative programs for new students and providing ongoing follow-up and psychological support.
