UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES A SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR ON THE LINGUISTIC AND ACCOUNTING SEMANTICS OF ACCOUNTING TERMS
The College of Administration and Economics - Department of Accounting, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized a scientific seminar for postgraduate studies students entitled "Linguistic and Accounting Semantics of Accounting Terms."
The seminar aimed to highlight the most important linguistic and accounting semantics required by postgraduate studies students in their academic and research studies, enhancing their in-depth understanding of specialized terminology in both Arabic and English.
The seminar, presented by Prof. Dr. Suhail Abdullah Nasser, Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdulaziz Sayhoud, and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhannad Muhammad Abdul Muttalib, included a discussion of 100 of the most prominent terms used in the fields of financial accounting, cost accounting, and management accounting, as well as terms related to auditing, review, and financial analysis.
