UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES A SEMINAR ON THE CONCEPT OF COST, ITS CLASSIFICATION, AND METHODS OF MEASUREMENT
 The College of Administration and Economics, Department of Banking and Financial Sciences at the University of Basrah, organized a seminar entitled "The Concept of Cost, Its Classification, and Methods of Measurement."
The seminar, presented by Lect. Dr. Shorouk Khalaf and Asst. Lect. Zahraa Abdul Hussein, aimed to shed light on the concept of cost as the sacrifice of an economic resource in exchange for future benefit. It also highlighted its vital role in supporting the administrative decision-making process.
The seminar addressed the importance of cost as an effective tool for comparing various administrative alternatives based on scientific and objective criteria, as well as its role in achieving economic efficiency, increasing profits, and improving the utilization of available resources, which contributes to supporting institutional sustainability and enhancing their performance.
