Master's thesis discusses "Evaluating the performance of oil licensing companies in Iraq"
A master's thesis at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah examined the performance evaluation of oil licensing rounds in Iraq - the Italian company Eni as a model.
The thesis of researcher Tahani Hamid Majeed aims to review, analyze, and evaluate oil licensing round contracts in Iraq, focusing on the characteristics of technical service contracts concluded by Iraq with foreign companies, and presenting a set of future options to improve the future performance of licensing round companies and increase the efficiency of utilizing oil wealth.
The thesis concluded that oil companies, including Italy's Eni, have achieved high production efficiency without transferring technology and technical skills to local workers. This efficiency has been achieved solely through profitability and investment.
