THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH IS INVESTIGATING THE MODERATING EFFECT OF IT INFRASTRUCTURE ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ISDLC AND READINESS FOR ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE:
A master's thesis from the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah examined the impact of the information system development cycle on readiness for organizational change. Information technology infrastructure is a moderating variable (a survey study at the General Company for Ports of Iraq).
The study, presented by student Ahmed Ashour Abboud Ibrahim, aimed to measure the impact of system development stages on employee readiness for change and the role of technical infrastructure in supporting this. The thesis included a theoretical and field study of five development stages and an analysis of data from (366) employees using structural equation modeling. The study concluded that the sequential implementation of the stages improves readiness for change and that a strong IT infrastructure strengthens the relationship.
The study recommended adopting a disciplined development methodology, updating technical resources, and intensifying employee training.
