The University of Basrah organizes a ceremony to complete the recitation of the Holy Quran:
The College of Administration and Economics, Department of Accounting, in cooperation with the Educational Guidance Unit, organized a religious ceremony to complete the recitation of the Holy Quran. A group of first-year morning studies students participated, under the direct guidance of the Dean of the College, Prof. Abdul-Hussein Tawfiq Shibli.
The ceremony was supervised by the following college members:

Assist. Prof. Dr. Abbas Abdul-Aziz Sayhoud, Member
Prof. Dr. Fayha Abdul-Khaliq Mahmoud, Member
Assist. Prof. Ban Tawfiq Najm, member,
Assist. Prof. Murtadha Kazim Effat, member.
The event included the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the soul of Dr. Radhi from the Department of Business Administration, for the soul of postgraduate student Abdullah from the Department of Accounting, and for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq and the Islamic nation.
The opening supplication of the Holy Quran was recited by student Ali Hamid, and verses from the Holy Quran were recited by Qari Shabr Jawad Kazim. Aqeel Muslim recited the supplication for completing the Holy Quran. College members and a group of students participated in the recitation of parts of the Holy Quran.
Certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participating students.
The goal of the Quranic event is to highlight the importance and sanctity of the Holy Quran, refine the souls and behavior of Muslims, and promote Quranic culture among students.
