UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES WORKSHOP "LIVE TESTIMONIES EXPOSING BAATH CRIMES"
The College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Basrah Martyrs Directorate, organized a workshop titled "Live Testimonies Exposing Baath Crimes." This workshop aims to support the Baath Crimes curriculum taught at Iraqi universities. Dr. Jabbar Amin Jaber, Director of the Relations and Scholarships Department, lectured at the workshop. He was a political prisoner during the rule of the defunct Baath gang and the brother of a martyr executed by the former Baath regime.
The workshop emphasized the importance of combating the criminal, totalitarian ideology of the defunct Baath Party and preventing the return of any dictatorship to rule Iraq. The representative of the Martyrs Foundation, journalist Muhammad Qasim Abboud, head of the Media Division at the Basrah Martyrs Directorate, also spoke about the need to educate generations on a national culture that rejects violence, dictatorship, and the suppression of freedoms, those methods practiced by the defunct Baath Party.
