UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES AN AWARENESS WORKSHOP TITLED "THE DANGERS OF PLASTIC MATERIALS AND THEIR IMPACT ON HUMAN HEALTH AND THE ENVIRONMENT"
The Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the career development center at the University of Basrah, organized an educational workshop titled "The Dangers of Plastic Materials and Their Impact on Human Health and the Environment" on Sunday, 9/3/ 2025.
The workshop, presented by Prof. Dr. Nadwa Hilal Joudeh, a lecturer in the Department of Economics, and Lect. Dr. Arej Khadir Abbas, from the College of Technical Engineering - Department of Environmental Engineering and Pollution Technologies.
The workshop aimed to highlight the risks of plastic materials to human health and the environment, represented by chemical pollution and plastic materials.
Finally, the workshop recommended adhering to specific instructions to reduce the risks of plastic materials, such as using cloth bags and reusable water bottles, as well as recycling plastic materials to reduce waste.
