UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH INVITES ITS MEMBERS TO VISIT THE ARBAEEN OF IMAM HUSSEIN (PEACE BE UPON HIM)
The University of Basrah procession set off to visit the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, from the city of Basrah to the holy city of Karbala under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, President of the University of Basrah, with more than 20 buses to transport university members, college members, employees and students wishing to visit Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, for free.
The university president continued that the university provided all the needs for the procession that will participate in the parade of university processions on the day designated for them.
In addition, the procession will be accompanied by a medical effort cadre consisting of professors and specialized employees from the medical group. The cadre provides various medical services to visitors.
It is noteworthy that the University of Basrah procession participates annually in the mourning procession of the students of the unified universities of Iraq, which will be held in the shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them, and in the presence of the university president, the scientific and administrative assistant, and the deans of the colleges within a unified march with the rest of the processions of students of Iraqi universities, arriving at the two holy shrines, chanting slogans of grief and sadness for the painful tragedy of Karbala.
