The University of Basrah concludes the proceedings of the second international scientific conference on artificial intelligence:
On Thursday 13/6/2024, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah concluded the proceedings of its second international scientific conference on explainable and applicable artificial intelligence in digital sustainability, which was held under the slogan “Contemporary trends in artificial intelligence to build a sustainable Iraqi economy” for the period 12-13 of this June, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, President of the University of Basrah,under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdul Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, Dean of the College.
The conference aimed to shed light on scientific research accepted and registered with Springer Publishing.
The conference, which was attended by Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, President of the University of Basrah, and Prof. Dr. Abdul Hussein Tawfiq Shibli Dean of the College and his assistants for administrative and scientific affairs, along with the heads of scientific departments in the College, and the participation of a number of professors and researchers from Iraqi, Arab and international universities.
The conference presented more than (25) scientific research papers that were discussed in two sessions for two consecutive days
The conference organizers recommended the need to use artificial intelligence to detect fraud in electronic payments, use it to improve energy use in buildings and industrial facilities, use it in analytical applications to monitor and predict energy consumption and preserve the environment, and its contribution to reducing expenses and increasing benefits in that field, as well as working to encourage researchers to participate in specialized scientific conferences to raise the profile of the country among countries and provide material and moral support to researchers to publish their research in Arab and international scientific journals while providing all the needs and requirements of scientific research, as well as encouraging the uses of artificial intelligence in cash withdrawals in banking transactions and other related financial operations. Relevance In order to keep pace with modern developments at the regional and global levels, the use of artificial intelligence in the agricultural sector by using its applications to increase crop productivity. And managing water and reducing its waste.
At the conclusion of the conference, the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics extended his thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of the conference, whether the participants were professors and researchers, all the way to the scientific and supporting committees and supporting bodies.
