THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH CELEBRATES ITS SIXTY ANNIVERSARIES
On Wednesday 24/4/2024 the University of Basrah celebrated its sixty anniversaries in the middle of a ceremony attended by the Governor of Basrah, Engineer Asaad Abdul Amir Al-Eidani, and a hug crowd of academics, affiliates, and students, as well as officials of government departments in Basrah and professional unions, and the participation of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hussein Tawfiq Shibli and Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ammar Youssef Dajir.
The ceremony included a speech by the University President, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem Al-Asadi, in which he noted the important educational and humanitarian role that the university plays in the visual community, indicating the status of the University of Basrah, its role, the abundance of its research production, and its humanitarian achievements, with the testimony of all those responsible and observers in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The founding ceremony witnessed the honoring of a group of distinguished professors and employees in the administrative departments of the university presidency, the colleges and their scientific departments, the delegation of the futsal team participating in the Iraqi Universities Indoor Futsal Championship, influential figures in the community of Basrah, and the colleges that have advanced ranks in the Iraqi national classification of universities for the year 2023.
