UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES AN AWARENESS WORKSHOP ENTITLED (COMMITMENT TO THE UNIVERSITY UNIFORMS IS A CIVILIZED, CULTURAL AND SOCIETAL PHENOMENON)
The Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Women Empowerment Committee in the college and the Department of management Information Systems, joined a guiding awareness workshop entitled (Commitment to the university uniform is a civilized, cultural and societal phenomenon) on Sunday 3/3/2024 at the Central Discussions Hall in the college.
Lectured by Dr. Arafat Nasser Jassim / Officer of the Women Empowerment Committee at the College with the participation of the student Youssef Abdel Wahid and the student Batoul Haider Muhammad Hussein from the fourth stage of the Department of management Information Systems.
The workshop included the phenomenon of uniforms in Iraqi universities and its impact in various aspects of life, including the economic aspect, as it is achieved by applying equality between students to reduce economic differences and with it the rich and poor is equal, and that its lack of application led to the time the student's feeling of inequality, and then discomfort and stress Psychological.
The workshop aimed to build the student's personality and enhance his identity by adhering to university dress, preparing him in a good way and developing his abilities to face difficulties in practical life and for building the effective personality in society.
In conclusion, the workshop recommended the necessity of applying the uniform in our educational institutions because of its educational and civilizational dimensions in stabilizing the psychological stat of students, and committing to decency and dignity in order for universities to remain a safe scientific edifice for them.
