BASRA UNIVERSITY CONDUCTS A PANEL DISCUSSION ON ((THE ROLE OF INTERNAL AUDITING IN REDUCING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONAL RISKS)):

The Accounting Department at the College of Administration and Economics - Basra University held a seminar on ((The Role of Internal Auditing in Reducing the Operational Risks of Information Technology)) A Case Study, prepared by MA student Maher Ismail Badran and under the supervision of Prof.  Hashem Ali Hashem.

Badran explained that the research problem can be summed up as the following main question: How does internal audit contribute to reducing the operational risks of information technology?

Badran indicated that the research aims at several objectives, the most important of which is to know the role of internal auditing in reducing the operational risks of information technology through internal audit plans and reports, highlighting the advantages of using information technology in the implementation of operations and activities in Iraqi companies and what internal auditing provides to these companies to enhance public confidence
