BASRA UNIVERSITY DISCUSSES THE BUDGET OF IRAQ 2018/ANALYTICAL STUDY OF THE REALITY OF THE BUDGET:

A panel discussion was discussed in the Department of Banking and Financial Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics - University of Basra and tagged ((Iraq Budget 2018 / An Analytical Study of the Reality of the Budget)) prepared by researchers (Ahmed Sami Ahmad Al-Derawi) and (Ahmed Abdul Karim).

Al-Dirawi explained that after reviewing the Iraqi budget for the year 2018, it was noticed that the prevailing feature of the budget is a clear and noticeable reduction in the allocations of the agricultural and industrial sector in general.

The researcher added that despite the existence of positives in the budget, there are a number of negatives that have been identified and summarized as follows: a clear decrease in investment spending in all areas, a deficit in the budget of 13%, and the suspension of appointments in all ministries, in addition to the largest paragraph in the budget.  It concerns current expenses, which are salaries.
