BASRA UNIVERSITY PUBLISHES A BOOK ON THE EFFECTS OF INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION IN THE ARAB COUNTRIES 2020:
Prof. Dr. Nabil Jaafar Al-Marsoumi, in cooperation with Dr. Abdul Razzaq Yusef Nasrallah, a lecturer at the College of Administration and Economics at Basra University published a book on the effects of international migration in the Arab countries 2020, by Dar Al-Ghadeer for Printing and Publishing in Iraq / Basra.
The book, which is located in 317 pages, is composed of four chapters. The first chapter deals with the theoretical framework of international migration and its implications for developing countries. The second chapter deals with the relationship between migration and development in some labor-sending Arab countries. The third chapter deals with international migration in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and finally the fourth chapter focused on the migration of Iraqi scientific competencies and approaches to benefit from them.
The book aims to study the effects associated with international migration in order to develop appropriate strategies to maximize its benefits and reduce its negative effects.
The importance of the book is highlighted by the fact that international migration from developing countries has taken an increasing momentum since the Second World War, in which all social groups have contributed, and left positive and negative effects on the economies of the countries of sending and receiving immigrant workers.
