University of Basra has opened the boat marina in the Karama Ali Colleges Combined, which connects the Corniche Al -Ashar to the university site in the Karma Ali area.
The idea of opening the boat marina aims to reduce the crowding in the streets of Basra to ensure the arrival of university students and its employees in the appropriate time to the Karama Ali Colleges Combined and Al -Ashar area.
It is possible that the idea of the project will be developed in the next stage to organize scientific study trips and river tourist trips to and from the university’s marina at the aforementioned location in cooperation with the Maritime Transport Directorate in Basra, It is being the main operator of navigation in the Shatt al-Arab on the one hand, and possessing a fleet of modern boats designated for transporting passengers with a high level of safety.
