BASRA UNIVERSITY PRESENTS A THEATRICAL PERFORMANCE CALLED (NO TO VIOLENCE):

Basra University presents a theatrical performance called (No to Violence):

The Accounting Department and the Artistic Activities Unit in the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the College of Fine Arts, the Department of Art Education and the Hall of the Translation Department, presented a purposeful theatrical performance under the title ((No to Violence)) directed by the student (Ali Wali Fakher) and a group of actors participated in the cast.  The beginners of the ceremony played music on the piano provided by student (Zahra Ali Qassem).

Elham El-Shawi, head of the accounting department, explained that the play simulates a number of societal problems, such as cases of physical violence, assault on women's honor, insulting their humanity, and class differences between the rich and the poor, in addition to current political events such as the topic of the elections that will be held next month, which were presented in a beautiful dialogue between the actors.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Youssef Ali Al-Asadi, Dean of the College, Dr. Abdul-Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Walid Mayya Rodin, Head of the Statistics Department, and a large number of attendees who interacted with the theatrical performance.
