BASRA UNIVERSITY ORGANIZES AN AWARENESS SEMINAR ON COMBATING SMOKING:

The Educational Counseling Unit at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the teacher (Aseel Omar Muslim) teaching at the College of Law and Politics, organized a seminar on the anti-smoking law, and the seminar was moderated by Dr. Abdul-Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs.

Muslim explained that the aim of this symposium is to educate all faculty members about the Anti-Smoking Law No. 19 of 2012 in order to protect citizens from all dangers (health, social, environmental, economic ... and others) due to smoking or exposure to smoke. The law has been clearly clarified in all its axes and paragraphs and what are the penalties Imposed on violators for a healthy smoke-free society through understanding and implementing effective controls to combat it. The symposium was attended by Dr. Yusef Ali Abdul-Asadi, Dean of the College, who in turn presented a certificate of appreciation to the six Aseel Omar at the end of the seminar in appreciation of her efforts.
