BASRA UNIVERSITY DISCUSSES THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE OIL INDUSTRY AND ITS ENVIRONMENTAL IMPLICATIONS IN IRAQ FOR THE PERIOD 2003-2015:

The discussion room of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra was held to discuss the master's thesis in economic sciences tagged ((Development of the oil industry and its environmental implications in Iraq for the period 2003-2015)) by a postgraduate student (Hadeer Nabil Jaafar) under the supervision of Prof. Hilal Quality symposium.

Nabil explained that the Iraqi environment has suffered greatly as a result of oil and gas operations, which has led to great pollution of the various elements of the environment (water, air and soil) through drilling oil wells as well as environmental pollution resulting from burning natural gas associated with oil and radioactive pollution resulting from the oil industry and environmental pollution.  He is talking about the old Iraqi oil refineries that lack modern technology.
