THE DEAN OF THE COLLEGE OF ADMINISTRATION AND ECONOMICS PARTICIPATES IN THE OPENING OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, participated in the Entrepreneurship Week in Universities on Tuesday 13/11/2023, which continues the week of the 13th - 19th of this month in the Imam Ali Hall in the College of Law at the University of Basrah, in the presence of a large group of foreign and local companies operating in Basrah and representatives of Iraqi universities
The entrepreneurship program is concerned with embracing visual youth, including earners, unemployed, and students, and preparing them for the local labor market and the patents, creative and investment projects they present, and putting them into practice in cooperation with international and local companies, as well as providing appropriate loans for them from the Central Bank of Iraq.
The Dean stated that the College of Administration and Economics has an effective contribution in incubating and supporting a number of these projects, the most important of which is the Al-Fayhaa Association project for people with special needs and people of determination, by allocating a plot of land on which a special market was established for them, which included a group of tailoring and embroidery shops and many types of food and fast food, in addition to painting and sculpture. Thus, the market has provided real job opportunities for about (1,400) people.There are many projects that were presented by graduates of our college that will be discussed and a feasibility study will be presented about these.
