THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES AN AWARENESS-RAISING SEMINAR ON DEVIATIONS AND MORAL BEHAVIOR AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE
On Monday 23/10/2023 the Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Unit at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah organized an awareness-raising seminar entitled (Behavioral and moral deviations among young people, between causes and treatments)
The seminar which was moderated by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ammar Youssef Dajer, and lectured by Prof. Dr. Hanaa Abdel Nabi Kabn  teaching at the College of Education for Girls, aimed to shed light on the wrong habits of morals and education among young people, which harm the family and its surroundings badly.
The seminar which was attended by the head of the Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Unit, Assist. Lect. (Duaa Shahid Habib) and the teachers responsible for educational guidance in the scientific departments, discussed the main reasons leading to behavioral deviation among young people, represented by lack of education, poverty, or family disintegration and weak religious motivation, in addition to bad friends.
The seminar recommended the need for parents to follow up and work to increase their confidence and self-development in order to follow the right approach to gradually get rid of acquired bad habits and stay away from undesirable environmental atmospheres, which in turn bring them harm and self-harm.
