THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH MEETS WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL PUBLIC SERVICE COUNCIL
The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, met with the President of the Federal public Service Council, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Tamimi, in the council building, and discussed with him the university's need for scientific and administrative specializations that would develop and support the administrative and technical capabilities in the university, in the presence of the President of Sumer University Dr. Adel Radi Al-Zarkani.
during the meeting, the focus was on resolving the issue of the first students from the morning and evening studies graduates, and seeking to return those who were appointed among the first to the ministries of the state or to return them to the formations of the Ministry of Higher Education, especially the University of Basrah, due to the need for their specializations, as well as the urgent desire of this segment of graduates to attend. At the university to which they belonged throughout the period of study and excellence.
The two parties also discussed the issue of holders of postgraduate degrees and the university's right to receive lecturers, especially the rare majors needed by the university's colleges, including the medical group.
The President of the University of Basrah praised the efforts made by the administrative and technical staff of the Council in checking the data of graduates of universities, colleges and institutes, and in coordinating with the relevant ministries for the purpose of fair distribution according to need and specialization.
Also he stressed that the meeting was positive and comes within the framework of the administrative and professional responsibility that rests with him in following up everything related to the university in the matter of human resources and strengthening its need for manpower.
In the same meeting, the Chairman of the Federal Service Council noted the need to take into account the need of universities and the specialization of their colleges, as well as the need to rehabilitate their functional structures.
