THE FIRST INVESTMENT CONFERENCE IN BASRA:

Under the title Eye on Investment in Basra, the first investment conference was held in Basra under the auspices of the Andalus Residential City project, in cooperation with the College of Management and Economics at the University of Basra, at the Al-Farahidi Hall in the Sheraton Hotel in Basra - on 7/7/2018

The dialogue session was moderated by Dr. Yousif Ali Abdul-Asadi, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics - indicating that investment is an essential and important factor in building and developing the infrastructure of Basra Governorate in particular because of its advantages in several directions to attract investment in Basra while Dr. Abdul-Jabbar Al-Halfi presented a paper entitled Investment Obstacles in Basra, and the local government in its executive and legislative branches also participated in the conference, in addition to the participation of the Basra Investment Commission, the Businessmen Union, Basra Chamber of Commerce the Industrialists Union, the Union of Contractors, and local and foreign investors.

The conference resulted in a set of important recommendations that contribute to increasing investment in Basra Governorate.
