The Accounting Department at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah organized a panel discussion on ((a proposed model for adapting the system of planning budgets prepared on the basis of the Iraqi unified accounting system for the purposes of monitoring, evaluating performance and achieving competitive advantage in public sector companies in the Kufa Cement Factory))
The panel in which Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdul Khaleq Yassin lectured aimed to identify the gap between the scientific foundations in preparing planning budgets and the reality of the situation.
The panel discussion dealt with several axes, in which the first axis touched on the presence of a significant shortcoming in the preparation of the planning budgets in force in terms of the structural aspect for planning purposes at the national level and not at the corporate level, the second axis discussed the high costs compared to prices and the third axis discussed the low production rates for the available energies.
