THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES A PANEL DISCUSSION ON THE IMPACT OF PEER PRESSURE IN POSTPONING THE DISCLOSURE OF BAD NEWS
On Tuesday 2/5/2023 the Accounting Department at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah organized a panel discussion on the impact of peer pressure in postponing the disclosure of bad news.
The panel discussion, in which Assist. Lect. Dr. Munther Jabbar Dagher and Assist. Lect. Hassan Abdel-Ridha lectured, aimed to shed light on the importance of disclosure in the financial market and the market's reaction towards disclosure between peer companies.
The panel discussion dealt with the effect of disclosure on the speed of transferring bad news between companies and the effect of postponing disclosure by counterpart companies in transmitting bad news in the financial market.
