THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH SPONSORS THE CLOSING OF THE ELEVENTH INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE OF THE IRAQI MATHEMATICS SOCIETY
The college of administration and economics at the University of Basrah sponsored the conclusion of the work of the eleventh international scientific conference of the Iraqi mathematics society, at 27/4/2023 which was held by the Iraqi mathematics society under the slogan ((Mathematics is the gateway to scientific and technical progress)) in cooperation with the college of education for pure sciences in the hall of the oil culture center. 
The conference included a presentation of (48) research papers in the fields of mathematics, statistics, computer and physics, in six sessions.
The conference aimed to spread the culture of mathematics and its applications and highlight its role in society and its overlap with other sciences, as well as scientific and technical communication between scientific departments inside and outside Iraq.
The organizers of the conference recommended a set of recommendations, including the continuation of holding such conferences as a semi-annual tradition, adopting a mechanism for selecting distinguished research in constructive scientific ideas, and inviting graduates to join the Iraqi Mathematics Association in order to refine their talents and develop their scientific ability.
The conference was attended by researchers from various Iraqi institutions as well as researchers from some Arab and foreign countries.
At the end of the conference, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Hussein Tawfiq Shibli, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah, who was on behalf of Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, President of the University of Basrah at the opening and closing of the conference, presented certificates of appreciation to the participants in appreciation and gratitude for their participation.
