THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH HOLDS A PANEL DISCUSSION ON (ESTIMATING THE RISK FUNCTION FOR THE NEW COMPLEX DISTRIBUTION (AKASH-EXPONENTIAL) WITH THE APPLICATION
On Wednesday 19/4/2023, the Statistics Department at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah held a seminar on (estimating the risk function for the new complex distribution (Akash-Exponential) with the application.
The panel discussion, in which Assist. Prof. Dr. Risan Abdel-Imam Zaalan, Head of the Statistics Department lectured, aimed to discuss the development in a lot of data, including survival data, which resulted in the need for distributions that are more flexible in representing data better than the classical statistical distributions, which are less flexible in interpretation Many scientific phenomena, especially phenomena that possess complex data, propose a new composite probability distribution (Exponential-Akash), then derive the statistical characteristics of the new composite distribution, and finally estimate the parameters of the new distribution in more than one way to estimate and find the survival function for the new distribution.
The seminar recommended the need to use complex distributions in representing complex data, including survival data, because these distributions are characterized by high flexibility in representing these data, which are better in their representation than classical distributions, since these data are complex and have oscillations or twists, and therefore these distributions are better in dealing With this data and its representation.
