THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH HOLDS A MEMORIAL CEREMONY ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE MARTYRDOM OF IMAM ALI BIN ABI TALIB (PBUH)
On Sunday 16/4/2023, the Student Activities Unit at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Imam Al-Hujjah Authority (AJ), held a memorial ceremony on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (PBUH) at the Theater Hall of the College of Arts in the Bab Al-Zubair Colleges Complex, in the presence of the prof.  Dr. Naeem Sabah Jarrah, Assistant Dean of the College for Administrative Affairs and Director of the Student Activities Department at the University of Basrah, representatives of the Imam Al-Hujjah Authority (may God bless him) and many of the college’s professors and students who praised the ceremony and its idea.
The ceremony began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, poetic contributions, and some readings from Hussain pioneers. Then it was followed by a theatrical performance to embody the personality and life of Imam Ali (PBUH) and his good and pure household, and how he was assassinated by prayer by the criminal Abd al-Rahman Ibn Muljam, may God curse him, which affected the audience greatly.
Among the residents of the memorial ceremony, the aim of holding the ceremony is to deliver a message to the whole world about the faith, courage and wisdom of Imam Ali (pbuh), from which the students and recipients draw inspiration from stories and lessons.
