THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES AN AWARENESS GUIDANCE WORKSHOP ON "UNDERSTANDING RELIGION AND ITS IMPACT ON UNIVERSITY STUDENT BEHAVIOR":
The Educational Counseling and Psychological Guidance Unit at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah in cooperation with the Basrah Center for Religious Communication of the Husayni Shrine, organized an awareness guidance workshop on "Understanding Religion and its Impact on University Student Behavior" for the period from 28/2 - 7/3/2023.
The workshop aimed at the necessity of adhering to commitment to religious teachings on the part of the university student and avoiding extraneous habits and spreading them in society to spread the spirit of division or sedition.
The workshop, which was moderated by the Assistant Dean for scientific Affairs Prof. Dr.  Nadwa Hilal Joudeh included a symposium by Sheikh Muhammad Hamza Ali Al-Asadi and Sheikh Bassem Hassan Abboud, which included several axes. The first is the adherence to the correct religious teachings on the part of the university student, and the second axis includes methods to move away from extraneous customs and spread them in society to spread the spirit of division or sedition. The third axis touched on the methods used in religious extremism, in addition to opening the door for discussion to ask many questions by college students and answer them.
The workshop recommended that the university student should have religious concepts and correct his ideas and support practical and realistic life.
