BASRA UNIVERSITY DISCUSSES LOANS GRANTED BY THE REAL ESTATE BANK AND THE HOUSING FUND IN SOLVING THE HOUSING CRISIS:

Basra University College of Administration and Economics discussed a master's thesis of a comparison between loans granted by the Real Estate Bank and the Housing Fund in solving the housing crisis - Basra as a model for the years 2016-2018 for student Sarah Abbas Ali.

The study aimed to diagnose the reality of the housing sector in Basra Governorate, as well as clarify the financing role played by both the real estate bank and the housing fund in the province and to present proposals to encourage housing investment in Basra Governorate.

The study concluded that financing institutions should be supported with sufficient funds to cover the problem of the widespread housing deficit in the governorate and to develop a housing policy aimed at securing decent housing for citizens by developing and implementing the general housing policy and the need for an investor to enter to build residential lands allocated for distribution, whether local or foreign.
