THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH ORGANIZES A PANEL DISCUSSION ON ENCRYPTED DIGITAL MONEY, AN ECONOMIC AND LEGAL ANALYSIS:
On Tuesday 15/11/2022 the Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah organized a panel discussion on encrypted digital money, an economic and legal analysis.
The panel in which Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Ali Hashim lectured aimed at clarifying the issuance and circulation of these coins and their negative effects, and presenting legal opinions and the positions of religious authorities regarding these coins and their circulation.
The panel discussion touched on three axes, in which the first axis clarified its origin, concept and evaluation, the second axis dealt with currencies and their circulation on platforms, and the third axis spoke about the legal and legal status of digital currencies.
