A MASTER’S THESIS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH DISCUSSES IMPACT OF THE CAPITAL STRUCTURE ON THE CREDIT RISKS OF COMMERCIAL BANKS LISTED IN THE IRAQ STOCK EXCHANGE FOR THE PERIOD FROM 2011-2020
On Thursday 13/10/2022 the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah discussed a master’s thesis in the Department of Banking and Finance on (the impact of the capital structure on the credit risks of commercial banks listed on the Iraqi Stock Exchange for the period 2011-2020).
The thesis of the researcher (Mohammed Abdul Fahd Al-Ali) aims to find out how the capital structure can reduce the credit risks to which private commercial banks are exposed, analyze and measure the impact between the capital structure and credit risks and know the relationship between them.
The thesis recommended that commercial banks should maintain a sufficient percentage of total assets compared to total liabilities in order to be able to review risks in the event of their inability to recover their dues on time.
