A LECTURER SELECTION AT BASRA UNIVERSITY IN AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR STATISTICAL SCIENCES IN ERBIL

 The lecturer Bahaa Abdul Razzaq from the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra participated in the second and fifteenth international conference organized by the Iraqi Association for Statistical Sciences in Erbil under the slogan (Population Census) for the period 12-13 / 2/2020.A

 The lecturer's participation in the tagged research (a standard study to assess the impact of some variables on the growth of the Iraqi economy using the vector error correction model VECM) with the participation of Prof.  Mahdi Wahab Neaama is a lecturer at the Faculty of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala.

 The aim of the participant research is to determine the effect of some variables on the GDP in the long and short term by applying the VECM vector model to the research data for the period 1999-2017.

 The participant research concluded a set of conclusions, the most important of which was the absence of a significant effect in the long-term for the research variables in the gross domestic product and the presence of a significant effect in the short term for some variables, including the size of the population and the change in the size of the gross product and for one slow period.

 The conference called for supporting statistical work in Iraq and providing the appropriate conditions for implementing the scientific census of population and housing in Iraq before the end of the current year 2020.
