THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRAH  HOLDS AN AWARENESS ENTITLED DRUGS AND THEIR NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON HEALTH AND LEGAL ASPECTS:
On Monday 30/5/2022 the Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Division at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah, sponsored by the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics Prof. Dr. Abd al-Hussein Tawfiq Shibli held an awareness seminar entitled Drugs and their negative health and legal effects.
The seminar aimed to raise health awareness about the dangers of avoiding drugs, as well as legal awareness and punishment for drug abuse.
The seminar which was attended by Dr. Munther Jalil Abdul-Abbas a specialist in internal and respiratory diseases at Basrah General Hospital and Dr. Zainab Yassin Abdul-Khader included a specialization in the law of a basic definition of drugs and the party to avoid them, in addition to studying them from the legal aspects and legislating their laws according to Iraqi law in addition to their health and psychological effects and consequences.
The seminar recommended staying away from bad friends and not adopting the prevailing conditions, whether economic or political, which are the most important reasons for drug abuse in addition to being preoccupied with self-development through reading and practicing hobbies to avoid wasting time and taking this path.
