A HIGHER DIPLOMA RESEARCH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRA EXAMINES (STUDYING THE IMPACT OF CHANGES IN THE US STRATEGIC STOCKPILE ON FLUCTUATIONS IN GLOBAL OIL PRICES)
On Sunday 17/4/2022 the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra discussed a higher diploma research in the Department of Economics on (studying the impact of changes in the US strategic stockpile on fluctuations in global oil prices for the period 2005-2020).
The aim of the student’s research (Rasoul Mahdi Safi) is to study the changes and their impact on oil prices during the years 2018 - 2020 and analyze this effect through the use of statistical analysis of those changes and the analysis of the international oil market and research in its structure as the most important market for its economic commodity.
The researcher recommended that the oil-exporting countries especially Iraq should be keen to follow the policies of the American Petroleum Institute especially the strategic stock policies by taking appropriate measures to maintain oil prices.
