A PANEL DISCUSSION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRA DISCUSSES (SUGGESTING A NEW MIXED DISTRIBUTION FOR ESTIMATING THE SURVIVAL FUNCTION WITH APPLICATION)
On Tuesday 8/3/2022 the Statistics Department at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra organized a panel discussion entitled (Suggesting a new mixed distribution for estimating the survival function with application).
The panel in which Assistant Professor Dr. Raysan Abdel-Imam lectured, aimed to look at how distributions are mixed and to highlight the advantage of estimating survival functions using mixed distributions and the use of classical methods to estimate the survival function for the mixed distribution of cancer patients.
The panel dealt with several axes, in which the first axis clarified the reasons for using mixed distributions of survival functions for cancerous diseases, and the second axis explained the use of mixed distributions in estimating survival functions for cancer patients.
