PhD DISSERTATION AT BASRA UNIVERSITY DISCUSSING BANKING GOVERNANCE AND ITS IMPACT ON THE FINANCIAL SOUNDNESS OF IRAQI BANKS IN LIGHT OF RISK MANAGEMENT:
On Wednesday 16/2/2022 the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra discussed a PhD dissertation in financial and banking sciences on "banking governance and its impact on the financial safety of Iraqi banks under risk management."
The dissertation of the researcher (Amina Abdul-Ilah Halbous) aims at the impact of risk management on the relationship between banking governance and the financial soundness of Iraqi banks. 
The dissertation concluded that there is an effect of credit risk management and market risk in the relationship between banking governance and the financial soundness of Iraqi banks, while there is no significant impact on operating risk management in this relationship.
